It’s Been A Long Time
I realize I haven’t updated for awhile. That is what school and work will do to you. I’m busy right now doing a site redesign, and after that I’ll work on redesigning summitr. Until then, I’m sorry.

Do to a recent influx of spam comments, I have disabled commenting on this site. I may open it up again later if I find a suitable solution, but that is not a priority right now. I am a semester away from graduating. So, not only am I taking the hardest classes of my collegiate life, I’m also trying to find a job and improve my portfolio. These things take precedence over getting comments working on this site. However, I am considering using this site as part of my portfolio, so look for some improvements some time in the next half year.

Look at the meter. It says it right there. I have the books page finished (or as finished as it will be until I go home again). It feels good to actually make progress on the site. The Games page and TV page are up next, but not necessarily in that order.

You may have noticed that I haven’t updated for awhile. I’ve been really busy with school the last couple of weeks and have also been under the weather. It has really sapped my energy. I have another couple of busy weeks with finals ahead so I might not get a chance to update any time soon. I’m still keeping with my plan of trying to finish the pages that are listed already. When that is done, I’ll start producing actual content. Possibly reviews for all the stuff I have. We’ll see.

I have been skeptical about the information that popular news sources like CNN and Fox News provide. There are many instances where you might know a person, or know their beliefs and values, and see them on the news saying something that is completely out of character. Some people might think they didn’t really know the person. I think the media twisted what the person said to get what they want. I got this following example from a friend who has been researching this topic for his senior thesis.
To set up this interview, WWE star John Cena is asked by a CNN interviewer whether he has ever taken steroids. This first video is the unedited version. The second video is the edited version that appeared on CNN.
Video #1: Unedited Version
Video #2: CNN’s edited version
